Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding contract with GIS Planning to provide ZoomProspector Enterprise Web Services. (Jenny Torres, Community Development Director)
SUMMARY:
ZoomProspector is a web application that provides comprehensive information to help new, expanding, and relocating businesses find a location in our community. Using geographical information system software, the website tools provide access to real estate search, demographics, workforce analysis, industry reports, along with dynamic mapping tools. ZoomProspector will improve our economic development web page image, increase jobs, retain businesses, and provide high quality online economic development services.
Staff is recommending option #2 with an annual subscription cost of $8,100.00 for licensing, setup and three (3) years of technical support: year one (1) $1,000.00; years (2) & (3) $500.00 each, for a total amount of $26,300.00 over a three (3) year contract. GIS Planning is a sole source provider, under Section 36.02 - Purchasing of the San Luis Code, where there is only one provider, the provisions in Section 36.01 (D) for obtaining three (3) written quotes is not required.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE THROUGH GIS PLANNING OF SERVICES AND SOFTWARE LICENSING AS PRESENTED IN OPTION 2 FOR A TOTAL OF $26,300.00 OVER 3 YEARS.
