ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2053. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona authorizing and directing the entering into an intergovernmental agreement with the Gadsden Elementary School District # 32 for the construction and maintenance of a retention basin at Ed Pastor Elementary School. (Kay Marion Macuil, City Attorney and Eulogio Vera, Director of Public Works)
SUMMARY:
Gadsden Elementary School District #32 has agreed to allow road run-off from 6th Street and parts of the newly constructed Union Street drain in a retention basin to be constructed by the City on Ed Pastor Elementary School land. An Intergovernmental agreement was negotiated which includes fencing around the retention basin and maintenance. The City will mow the lawn for 6 months a year and the school will mow it for the other 6 months a year. The School Board approved the IGA on Thursday, August 16, 2018.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
