ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters to adopt Resolution No. 1118. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of San Luis authorizing Sub-grantee Agreements between the San Luis Police Department and State of Arizona Department of Homeland Security to receive funds for the replacement of police radios.  (Victor Figueroa, Acting Chief of Police)

SUMMARY:

The City of San Luis Police Department has been awarded $21,600.00 for the replacement of police radios under the FY 2015 Interoperability Replacement Program. The adoption of this resolution will support the mission to protect Arizona from terrorism and all hazards, natural or man-made from a well-rounded approach that considers every aspect of a disaster from prevention, to mitigation, response and recovery.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPROVE AND ADOPT RESOLUTION 1118 REGARDING THE ACCEPTANCE OF FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY TO REPLACE POLICE RADIOS.
