SUMMARY:
The City of San Luis Parks & Recreation Department and Jaizu Entertainment Promotions wishes to sell alcohol at the Lechuga Fest that will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 3:00 p.m to 2:00 a.m at the San Luis Joe Orduño Park. Proceeds of the beer sales will be split, 25% for the City of San Luis and 75% for Jaizu Entertainment Promotions.
The City of San Luis Parks and Recreation Department is proposing to partner with Jaizu Entertainment Promotions to present an event concert to bring the band “La Brissa” (Cumbia style music) to our community. With the assistance of the City Attorney and Risk Management, a contract will be developed in which promoters will be funding the entertainment, sound, stage and other requirements for this event. The city will provide the facility venue for the event (Fields, Cultural Center and trash containers). This is an opportunity to provide the residents a concert type event that brings popular groups and artists for a low cost to the area. This will be a onetime trial basis, and depending on the success of this event, a contract might be renegotiable for future events. Staff will like to develop these types of events to make the City of San Luis a tourism destination point and an economic boost opportunity for our local businesses.
