Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding a contract with Harvard Group International for the recruitment of candidates for the vacant position of Human Resources Director. (Ralph Velez, City Consultant)
SUMMARY:
After at least two (2) rounds of diligent but unsuccessful rounds of recruitment efforts, Consultant Ralph Velez has identified a recruitment agency with the quality, qualifications, and experience to recruit candidates for the vacant Human Resources (HR) Director position, Harvard Group International. Staff requests a brief time to negotiate the contract.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE NEGOTIATIONS WITH HARVARD GROUP INTERNATIONAL TO RECRUIT CANDIDATES FOR THE VACANT DIRECTOR OF HR POSITION.

City Council budgeted for the HR Director position. Under the attached Search Assignment Agreement, the city pays Harvard Group International (HGI) from 33% of the HR Director's salary if the city hires an HGI candidate. Therefore this item is budgeted.
