ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the change to Mexico Only Medical Plan to offer out-of-network hospitalization coverage in the event of emergency at the out-of-network coinsurance of 50%, subject to out-of-pocket maximum of $20,000/$40,000. (Susan Posada, Broker and Consultant)
SUMMARY:
Changes to Mexico Only medical plan were previously approved on March 11, 2020, to exclude hospitalization coverage, changing the plan to cover for Emergency Services Only. Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), it is being recommended for hospitalization expenses to cover both emergency services and hospitalization.
The below motion is provided as an example. The trustees are free to approve, deny or modify the recommendation within their fiduciary duty.
