ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2239. A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, approving an intergovernmental agreement among the State of Arizona, the County of Yuma, and the City of San Luis regarding responsibilities for the 2022 Arizona Legislature appropriations under Senate Bill 1490 for Cesar Chavez Boulevard roadway improvements. SUMMARY:
The State of Arizona passed Senate Bill 1490 appropriating $33 million to the Department of Transportation to distribute to Yuma County to construct, widen, repair, and upgrade Cesar Chavez Boulevard in the City of San Luis on June 30, 2022. Yuma County, the City of San Luis, and the State of Arizona through this intergovernmental agreement agreed for the state to administer the project on behalf of the City of San Luis. ADOT will retain the appropriated funding for administrative purposes. A separate agreement between the Arizona Department of Transportation and the city will address the administration and construction management of the project.
