Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2274. Contract No. 22-07-34-L2106. (Jenny Torres, Assistant City Manager and Eulogio Vera, Director of Public Works)
SUMMARY:
On February 9, 2022, through Resolution No. 2208, the San Luis City Council authorized staff to submit an application to the Bureau of Reclamation to acquire federal right of way to construct County 24th Street between 10th Avenue and Avenue F-1/2 roadway project. The City conducted an environmental assessment as requested by BOR. The assessment was completed in December 2022. The United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office (BOR) submitted the license authorizing the City of San Luis to construct, install, own, use, operate and maintain County 24th Street and related appurtenances within portions of Reclamation's withdrawn lands and rights-of-way. The Bureau of Reclamation requires the Mayor and City Council to adopt a resolution authorizing Mayor, City Manager, or designee to execute the license agreement.
