Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the appointment of a Council Member to serve on the Yuma County Library District Board of Trustees. (Ralph Velez, Interim City Manager)
SUMMARY:
Former Council Member Africa Luna-Carrasco has resigned from the Yuma County Library District Board of Trustees effective February 23, 2023; the current term expires June 30, 2023. A replacement is needed for the expiring term.
An appointment is also needed for the coming three-year term, which begins July 1, 2023, and ends June 30, 2026.
The Mayor and City Council may appoint the same Council Member for both terms or different Council Members (one for the expiring term and one for the next full three-year term).

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPOINT COUNCIL MEMBER ____________________ TO THE YUMA COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES, WHOSE TERM WILL EXPIRE ON JUNE 30, 2023, AND APPOINT COUNCIL MEMBER ___________________ TO SERVE THE NEXT THREE-YEAR TERM WHICH EXPIRES ON JUNE 30, 2026.
