ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2258. A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, adopting a Fair Housing Policy, making known its commitment to the principle of fair housing, and describing actions it shall undertake to affirmatively further fair housing. (Jenny Torres, Assistant City Manager)
SUMMARY:
The Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as amended requires that all applicants for Community Development Block Grants funds certify that they shall affirmative further fair housing. The City is committed to undertake such actions to further fair housing to include, but not limited to refer persons that are being discriminated to appropriate agencies, publicize this resolution and promote the month of April as Fair Housing month.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE AND ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2258.
