Public Hearing followed by discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2320. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis authorizing the submission of an application for FY 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) State Special Projects (SSP) funds, certifying that said applications meet the community’s previously identified housing and community development needs and the requirements of the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) Community Development Block Grant Program, and authorizing all actions necessary to implement and complete the activities outlined in said applications. SUMMARY:
The Arizona Department of Housing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program requires that a public hearing be held at a regular meeting of the local governing body to allow citizens to comment on the proposed projects to be funded with CDBG funds and adopt a resolution selecting the project(s) for application(s) advancing for CDBG funding.

FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT (IF THIS IS A BUDGET TRANSFER, YOU MUST ATTACH THE BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FORM):
This grant application is for an award of approximately $750,000.00 CDBG SSP. This application requires the City to provide matching funds in the amount of $521,706.60. For a total scope project of $1,271,706.60, a future resolution will be presented to council committing the matching funds for the project. We have included the amount of $915,690 for this project in the budget for FY 2024-2025. However, if the project is approved, it will begin in late FY 2025. This project will continue into FY 2025-2026, and we will ensure to allocate funds during the budget process for FY 2025-2026 to complete this project.
