ITEM:
Presentation followed by discussion on any and all matters regarding the City of San Luis Final Draft Subdivision Regulations.
SUMMARY:
The Planning and Zoning Division of the Development Services Department is working on updating the current City of San Luis Subdivision Regulations. Our Subdivision Regulations were adopted back in May 2002, and are based on the 1992 Yuma County Subdivision Regulations.
The purpose of updating our Subdivision Regulations is to bring them to the standards that our residents and current infrastructure development demand. These new regulations will also ensure smarter growth, improved infrastructure and better community planning.
TIMELINE:
This item will be presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission on April 8, 2025 to gather any comments or recommendations on the proposed Final Draft Subdivision Regulations and allow the Commission to make recommendation to the City Council. This item is tentatively scheduled to be presented to the City Council on April 23, 2025 for adoption.

- January 30, 2025. Final Draft Subdivision Regulations document is posted on the City of San Luis website.
- February 6, 2025. Final Draft Subdivision Regulations sent to stakeholders for questions and feedback.
- February 11, 2025. Final Draft Subdivision Regulations sent to Planning and Zoning Commission members.
- March 11, 2025. Presenting Final Draft Subdivision Regulations document to the Planning and Zoning Commission on regular Planning and Zoning meeting.
- March 13, 2025. Stakeholder and general public meeting at 3:00 pm.
- April 7, 2025. Release final document to City Council and post on the City of San Luis website.
- April 8, 2025. Planning and Zoning Regular meeting. Public hearing, discussion and recommendation regarding the proposed Final Draft Subdivision Regulations.
- April 23, 2025. Regular City Council meeting for approval and adoption.
