ITEM:
Discussion on any and all matters regarding the election of a Vice-Chair for the San Luis Economic Development Commission. (Armando Esparza, Director of Economic Development)
SUMMARY:
The San Luis Economic Development Commission annually elects a Vice-Chair from among its members to preside over meetings and perform the duties outlined in the Commission Bylaws. Article IV of the San Luis Economic Development Commission Bylaws provides that the Commission shall elect a Vice-Chair annually from among its members during the annual meeting. The Vice-Chair serves a one-year term and assumes the duties of the Chair when the Chair is absent or unable to serve.
The Commission will receive nominations from the floor and conduct an election for the position of Vice-Chair for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Commission nominate and elect a Vice-Chair in accordance with the Commission Bylaws.
