ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on Resolution No. 1156. A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona providing a thirty-day notice to terminate the Intergovernmental Agreement for Provision of Fire Personnel Services between the City of San Luis and the City of Somerton dated October 14, 2015. (Hank Green, Fire Chief)
SUMMARY:
Once the purchase approvals are in place, the San Luis Fire Department will be equipped with sufficient ambulances and staff within the next thirty days to operate the San Luis ambulance service independently from the City of Somerton. Staff recommends approval of Resolution 1156 giving Somerton the thirty-day notice to terminate the agreement according to the terms of Intergovernmental Agreement for Provision of Fire Personnel Services.

The termination of the Intergovernmental Agreement with Somerton for Fire Personnel Services will mean the implementation of Ambulance Services for San Luis independently. There will be the entire budgeted operations for the enterprise as well as the projected revenue and the projected savings to the San Luis Fire Department.
