ITEM:
Update on any and all matters regarding the status of ALSCO's two-year contract with the City for uniform services. (Manuel Rojas, Assistant Public Works Director)
SUMMARY:
As requested, staff seeks to update City Council on ALSCO's performance delivering uniform services, before the end of the 2-year contract. Currently, ALSCO provides uniforms for Public Works, Parks, Utilities, Fleet and Facilities Department. At the initial transition stage, we had some issues, which were promptly resolved by vendor and staff. Overall, other than some sporadic issues, the uniform services have been good. ALSCO has been responsive to our concerns and issues. Staff recommends continuing with ALSCO's contract for City uniform services.
