ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 1159. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona approving and adopting an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for installation of FBI repeater equipment on a city antenna. (Victor Figueroa, Lieutenant)

SUMMARY:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for authorization to install and operate a radio repeater at the City of San Luis Public Works site located at 1311 North 4th Avenue to provide better coverage for their operations within the area of San Luis. At present, the FBI has requested authorization to install this repeater with the authorization to operate at the Public Works site.

The tower is located on a parcel leased by the City from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).  The Bureau of Land Management will be reviewing the language of the intergovernmental agreement.

At the time of publication of this Agenda Item, the City Attorney and the FBI were still working on final language for the Intergovernmental Agreement and BLM approval was pending.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 1159.
