Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding funds for potential invoicing from the United States Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management for the use of land for the solar panels at the City Hall Complex and funds for legal costs regarding related contract negotiations. SUMMARY:
Staff requests a fund of $10,000.00 for potential invoicing from the United States Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for the use of BLM land for the solar panels at the City Hall Complex.
Staff requests a fund capped at $15,000.00 for the legal services of the law firm of Gust Rosenfeld to assist with related contract negotiations
Staff is requesting a total of $25,000.00 from Council Contingency Funds.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE A FUND OF $10,000.00 TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING POSSIBLE BLM INVOICING FOR THE USE OF BLM LAND FOR THE SOLAR PANELS ON THE CITY HALL COMPLEX; I FURTHER MOVE TO APPROVE THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE LAW FIRM GUST ROSENFELD AND TO PAY FEES AND COSTS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000.00 TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUNDS.

These $15,000.00 are for the purpose of having a fund available to pay for outside counsel of Gust Rosenfeld fees and costs to assist with matters regarding the Spear Point solar panels on the City Hall complex.
