Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding approval of the amended contract prepared as directed by City Council on February 8, 2017 to extend the contract of Craig Higgins Chief of Police and to extend the time for completion of Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training certification to May 31, 2017. (Kay Marion Macuil, City Attorney)
SUMMARY:
At the Regular City Council Meeting on February 8, 2017, City Council extended the contract of Chief of Police Craig Higgins to May 31, 2017 and directed staff to prepare an amended employment contract for this extension. The attached contract has made this change.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OF CHIEF OF POLICE CRAIG HIGGINS AS PRESENTED IN THE ATTACHMENT TO THIS AGENDA ITEM.
