Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the approval of an Engineering Design Proposal of the Union Street Paving Project by Nicklaus Engineering, Inc. (Eulogio Vera, Public Works Director)
SUMMARY:
Staff contacted Nicklaus Engineering, Inc. to assist with the design of a new roadway, which is Union Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. The improvements will create a better roadway loop around residential streets specially for Union Street and 6th Avenue traffic. Subject Capital Improvement Project was not approved for Fiscal Year 2017.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I HEREBY MOVE TO AUTHORIZE AND APPROVE A CONTRACT WITH NICKLAUS ENGINEERING TO DESIGN THE UNION STREET PAVING PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $22,620.00.
