Title:
Receive Update on Trott Brook and Hunt Property Cases from City Staff
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is meant as an update for the Planning Commission on the City Council meeting on May 26, 2020. The City Council met to discuss both the Trott Brook North proposal from the Excelsior Group and the Hunt Property proposal from Platinum Land, LLC. The City Council took two separate actions on these cases - both were to deny the request to rezone the properties.
The properties are zoned for 80 foot wide lots (R-1 Residential (MUSA) District) and the City Council recommended that the Applicants and Developers work with the current zoning to protect the surrounding neighbors.
Staff is working on a one-pager of information for these sites to summarize the City's vision for the properties, which may be added to this case prior to the meeting or forwarded to a future Planning Commission Meeting for further policy clarification.
