Update Contract with RJM Construction for Construction of the New Public Works Facility

Purpose:
The purpose of this case is to update the city's contract with RJM Construction to include the final construction costs for the new PW Facility.
Background:
The original RFP that RJM Construction original responded to was for construction of a new PW facility with an  estimated cost of $13 million.  That estimated cost was provided to RJM from a 2015 space needs study performed by BKV Group. The contract amendment will include all finalized costs of construction approved by council at the November 10th meeting which is $17,338,423.000.  This amount includes the alternate #1 which increased the size of the building to address the future needs of the City at full development.

Attached to the case is a file named RJM Contract Back up.  The costs highlighted in yellow are all the costs that were unknown at the time when the original RFP was written. Now that the cost for construction has been finalized and approved at $17,338,423.00 (incudes base bid and alternate #1)  these costs can be added into the final contract for approval. There is no increase in price from the final budget approved by council on November 10th because of this contract amendment.
