Mayoral Proclamation Proclaiming February 2021 as Black History Month in the City of Ramsey

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history, as well as to understand, appreciate and celebrate the extraordinary achievements and contributions made by members of the African American community to the social, artistic, cultural, political, economic, spiritual and national advancement in the United States and beyond. The City wishes to honor the prominent leaders and activists who have paved the way for equality and justice and calls attention to the continued need to battle racism and to build an equitable society.
