Adopt Resolution #21-234 Approving Change Order #1 for Business Park 95 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #21-03
Purpose/Background:
Purpose:
The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #21-234 approving Change Order #1 for Business Park 95 Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #21-03.
Background:
The purpose of Change Order #1 in the amount of $9,750.00 is to allow the contractor to replace damaged watermain gate valve boxes, which were damaged while lowering the valve boxes prior to reclamation of the existing bituminous pavement and aggregate base. Gate valve boxes are designed to screw up and down, however, the existing valve boxes were locked in place and could not be adjusted requiring removal and replacement to complete the work per approved plans and specifications and to allow continued access to the watermain gate valves within the project area.
A copy of Change Order #1 is attached, including the Contractor’s and the City Engineer’s signatures.
The work covered by this Change Order has been completed as this work was necessary to allow the project to continue without delays. No extension of time is approved as part of Change Order #1.
Payment for work covered by Change Order #1 will be paid with water utility funds.
