Title:
Discuss Referendum for Proposed Charter Amendment
Purpose/Background:
Council Members Musgrove and Howell have requested an agenda item to consider the process for a Charter amendment via a referendum. The City Attorney has been made aware of this inquiry and will be prepared to discuss the required process for a Charter Amendment by referendum. If an amendment is proposed and does not receive a unanimous approval of the Council, moving the question forward to a referendum is one option for the Council to consider.
