Title:
Review of Vegetation Management within Transmission Line Corridors
Background:
At the October Board meeting, a concern was raised regarding vegetation management strategies being employed along one of the transmission lines in the northern part of the city. This concern was brought to the Council's attention through citizen input at the October 11 City Council meeting. Subsequently, City Staff compiled and sent a letter service providers requesting that tree removal be minimized as much as possible (understanding their need and right to maintain their rights-of-way. Additionally, City Staff has drafted a resolution for Council consideration related to vegetation management within utility easements. City Council did not provide any specific direction or action for the EPB regarding this matter.
