Adopt Resolution #22-126 Approving the City of Ramsey Volunteer Firefighters Relief Association Amended Bylaws

The purpose of this case is for the Council to approve the City of Ramsey Volunteer Fire Relief Association's amended bylaws. The Relief Association Bylaws serve as the written pension plan for the Association which include all volunteer paid on-call members of the Fire Department. 

Members of the Fire Relief Asscociation board recently attended a state sponsored workshop to ensure that Minnesota Fire Department Relief Association's comply with the most recent statutory requirements. After attending the workshop, there were a few items that were identified as out of date and not compliant with current State Statute, which included definition updates, military credit for leave and vested accounts accruing investment earnings as opposed to interest earnings. The changes were minor and do not result in any financial implications to the City.
