Authorization to Hire Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Worker

The purpose of this case is to request authorization to hire a Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Worker.  Annually, the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works.  At this time, staff selected one seasonal candidate to work in the Utilities Division. 

Duties
Seasonal Public Works Maintenance workers provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer, and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming, pruning and planting trees or working on landscape projects, maintaining athletic fields, picking up trash, street maintenance and utilities maintenance.

 

The funding required to fill this position is included within the approved 2022 budget.

To hire Richard Griffiths to work in the Utilities Division at $14.00 per hour, effective on or near June 15, 2022.
