Receive Update on Available Funding Assistance for Basement Waterproofing

Purpose:
The purpose of this case is to inform the Public Works Committee on available funding sources to assist property owners with wet basements to fund waterproofing projects. Staff is also seeking direction on whether a webpage should be added to the City’s website to make this and other associated information available to the public.
 
Background:
Attached are several AgendaQuick cases from numerous Public Works Committee (PWC) meetings over the years addressing issues across the City related to high water levels and flooding.
 
Also attached are minutes from the same PWC meetings.
 
During discussions at these meetings, Staff was directed to research external funding sources available to property owners to assist with funding of basement waterproofing projects.
 
Attached is a spreadsheet showing numerous external funding sources researched by Staff, along with Staff’s findings.    

Staff estimates 10 minutes will be needed to present and discuss this case.   
 

This information would benefit the public if it was made available on the City's website.
