Title:
Adopt Ordinance #23-03 Amendment to Chapter 2 Article V. - Boards, Commissions and Authorities Division 2. - Economic Development Authority Section 2-189
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this amendment to Chapter 2, section 2-189 is to bring clarity to council appointments to the EDA. State Statute 469.095 provides the ability to set the term of the commissioners who are members of the City Council to coincide with their term of office. Updating the ordinance would allow for clear terms for councilmembers that coincide with their current council term. The way the ordinance currently reads, once a councilmember is appointed to the EDA, they remain until they are no longer a member of council.

This is being handled under normal staff duties.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends adopting Ordinance #23-03 amending Chapter 2 of the Ramsey City Code.

Motion to waive the City Charter Requirement that the Ordinance be read aloud and Adopt Ordinance #23-03 Amendment to Chapter 2 Article V. - Boards, Commissions and Authorities Division 2. - Economic Development Authority Section 2-189
