Title:
Appoint Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Planning Commission
Purpose/Background:
Each year the Planning Commission appoints a chairperson and a vice-chairperson. Currently, Commissioner Randy Bauer serves as Chairperson and Commissioner Cheri Gengler serves as the Vice Chairperson. The next term of appointment is from April 27, 2023, to April 25, 2024.
Chair Bauer has served two consecutive terms. Recently-adopted City Commission Rules state that a maximum of two consecutive terms as Chair is allowed in order to foster opportunities for leadership positions. After sitting out one term, the previous chair could be re-appointed.
