Title
Adopt Resolution #23-073 Approving Testing Services Proposal for Improvement Project #21-09, Centralized Water Treatment Plant.
Purpose/Background:
On March 28, 2023, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #23-061 accepting bids and awarding a Contract for construction of Improvement Project #21-09, Centralized Water Treatment Plant, to Magney Construction, Inc. for their Base Bid and Section 01 21 00 Allowances in the amount of $31,528,500. This construction will require special inspections that are not included under AE2S's agreement. Staff therefore requested a proposal for the required special inspections and construction materials testing from American Engineering Testing, which is the same firm that provided construction materials testing for the City of Ramsey on all improvement projects and private developments with public improvement components in 2022. The Terms and Conditions of the attached Special Inspections proposal are the same as are included in AET's Professional Services Agreement for 2023 construction materials testing, which is also included in tonight's consent agenda.
Funding Source:
The attached proposal for special inspections and construction testing services as required during construction of the Water Treatment Plant specifies an estimated cost of $35,335 for all inspections.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approving the attached special inspection and construction testing services proposal from AET.

Motoin to adopt Resolution #23-073 approving American Engineering Testing's Testing Services Proposal for Improvement Project #21-09, Centralized Water Treatment Plant.
