Title
Adopt Resolution #23-214 Supporting the Mayor's Proclamation of September 9, 2023 as Al and Betty Pearson Day
Purpose/Background:
The City of Ramsey received a request by the Ramsey Lions Club to proclaim September 9, 2023 Al and Betty Pearson Day. The Ramsey Lions felt this proclamation was deserving due to the involvement in the community the Pearsons have had through multiple decades while living here. The Ramsey Lions further gave special recognition to the Pearsons on their float and with an announcement during the September 9, 2023 Happy Days festival.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends adopting Resolution #23-214 Supporting the Mayor's Proclamation of September 9, 2023 as Al and Betty Pearson Day.
Action:
Motion to adopt Resolution #23-214.
