Title
Adopt Resolution #23-242 Authorizing Removal of Old Public Works Offices at 14100 Jasper St. NW
Purpose/Background:
The Public Works Department has been operating out of their current facility since Fall 2021. The former location includes multiple buildings, including the former administrative offices at 14100 Jasper St NW. These offices were housed in satellite trailer similar to a mobile home. This structure is not suitable for continued use by the City. In 2022, Public Works attempted to sell the double wide trailer but were unsuccessful. Due to the condition of the trailer, and to repurpose the former public works site staff recommends hiring a contractor to remove the former offices.
Two quote were received to demolish and remove the offices from the site. The low quote was received from Foster Trucking, Inc. of Ham Lake, MN in the amount of $8,000. The quote does not include permit fees, utility disconnects, foundation removal (N/A) and ground restoration. This additional work is not needed as part of the quote and can be handled under normal staff duties.
