Approve Amending City Council Meeting Schedule for 2024

Purpose: To amend the meeting schedule for the City Council due to political party caucuses being held on the regularly scheduled February meeting date, the State Primary election in August falling on the same date as a regular City Council meeting, and to cancel the last regular meeting in December. 

If approved, the February 27, 2024, City Council meeting will be rescheduled to Monday, February 26, 2024. The August 13, 2024, City Council meeting will be rescheduled to Monday, August 12, 2024, and the December 24, 2024, meeting will be canceled altogether, as has been done in the past. All other meetings would be scheduled in accordance with the normal calendar on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

If approved, all notifications will be updated to reflect the amended meeting dates.

Staff is recommending rescheduling the February 27, 2024, meeting to take place on Monday, February 26, 2024, rescheduling the August 13, 2024, meeting to take place on Monday, August 12, 2024, and to cancel the December 24, 2024, meeting altogether, as has been done in the past. 

Motion to reschedule the February 27, 2024, City Council Work Session and Regular Meeting to Monday, February 26, 2024, and to reschedule the August 13, 2024, City Council Work Session and Regular Meeting to Monday, August 12, 2024, and to cancel the December 24, 2024, City Council Work Session and Regular Meeting, with all other meetings to be scheduled in accordance with the normal calendar on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
