Finalize Discussions Regarding Proposed Updates to the Personnel Policy

The purpose of this discussion is to finish the review of the Personnel Policy, make any final recommendations and have it ready for the December 10, 2024, regular Council Meeting for approval, effective January 1, 2025.

The Personnel Policy was discussed during work sessions with the City Council on November 28, December 12, February 26, March 12, April 24 and June 11th.  Every section of the policy has been reviewed.  The policy was temporarily put on hold due to contract negotiations taking priority.  For consistency among employee groups and ease of administration, certain sections of the policy have been updated to mirror contract language.
