Adopt Resolution #24-350 Establishing Precinct and Polling Locations for the 2025 Election Year
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To establish polling locations for 2025.
Background: State Statute requires both cities and school districts to pass a resolution prior to December 31st of each year setting polling locations for the following year if there are changes from the previous year. Council discussed one proposed polling location change on September 10, 2024, and November 26, 2024. The proposed change is for Ward 2 Precinct 1, which previously was located at Central Park; the new proposed polling place is St. Katharine Drexel Church located at 7633 161st Ave NW. The proposed change offers more than ample parking along with a much larger voting room to better assist voters.
