Title:
February Recreation Program Update
Purpose/Background:
Upcoming Programs and Registration Deadlines:
Ramsey Photo Contest
We received so many wonderful photos! It’s been so much fun to see how much talent and beauty is right here in our own backyard.
Unfortunately, Frost Fest, originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 has been canceled. The rinks have melted considerably over the past few days and are not likely to fully refreeze overnight. Even if the rinks refroze, conditions are likely to be poor and potentially dangerous. Temperatures are expected to be slightly warmer than usual on Saturday, with a chance of rain or snow. Fingers-crossed for snow and colder temperatures next year. Special Thanks to the Ramsey Lions and WoMN Strong for working with us on this event!
5K Races
Start the new year strong and stick to your 2025 fitness goals by signing up for one of Ramsey’s signature 5K races! Whether you’re joining the brand-new Dash and Dine 5K or the community-favorite Happy Days 5K, both events offer a fun, scenic experience on a USATF-certified course at Elmcrest Park. Early bird registration opens January 1. Bonus $5 off discount if you sign up for both races! The Dash and Dine 5K includes a t-shirt and $10 voucher for one of the food trucks at the event. Sign up by Friday, Jan 31st at midnight for the lowest price! Prices increase on Feb. 1.
Experience a delightful day in St. Cloud exploring gardens, dining, and history! Begin with a visit to the Munsinger and Clemens Gardens nestled along the Mississippi River shores. These prestigious and nationally renowned gardens attract visitors from all over the world. Following the garden visit, fill up with a delicious lunch at Coyote Moon Grille before heading to the Stearns County History Museum for a guided tour.
Back by popular demand- Line Dancing! Each week features a new dance and a quick review of past ones, so no worries if you miss a class. Suitable for all ages and levels, no partner required—just bring a water bottle and get ready to dance! Led by Karen Ann Stark, an experienced instructor and former choreographer of the Bootscooters Dance Team. More dates to be announced soon!
Join Christina, our certified Yoga Teacher and Massage Therapist, for a rejuvenating Monthly Yoga Series, where each session explores a unique theme to inspire and revitalize your body, mind, and spirit. Attend one session or all—each class stands alone, so you can join whenever it fits your schedule. No experience is necessary—this class welcomes everyone.
Join us for a family-friendly speed puzzling competition, where teams of up to four will race to complete a 500-piece puzzle in two hours or less featuring a scene from Ramsey's 2023 Photo Contest. All teams can take their puzzle home, and the winning teams will receive a prize.
Delve into the stories behind the constellations and marvel at celestial wonders through two of Minnesota's largest mobile telescopes, offering close-up views of faraway objects.
