Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to update the Public Works Committee on current and proposed City, County and MnDOT improvement projects and studies, and on other items of interest to the Committee.

2026 Pavement Management Program Projects

• Soliciting RFPs for topographic surveys, geotechnical evaluations and utility testing

#25-01 Rivers Bend Regional Stormwater Pond Improvements

• Construction complete
• Received first grant payment from Anoka Conservation District (ACD) of $168,874.49
• Second grant payment invoice submitted on 3/12/25 for $156,675.51
• Project close out scheduled for Spring 2025

#25-02 MSA Sunwood Drive Reconstruction – CSAH 5 to Erkium Street

• Contract awarded to North Valley, Inc. for $272,962.90
• Scheduling preconstruction meeting

• Ramsey Blvd grade separations (RR and TH10) heavy construction starts in March 2025

Ferry Street/Trunk Highway 47 Grade Separation of BNSF Rail Crossing

• City-led project
• $45M in bonds authorized October 2020
• 2028 construction anticipated

Highway 47 Corridor Improvements – Garfield St to Bunker Lk Blvd

• Combined with above City-led project
• 3-lane design
• Received regional solicitation funds for 2027 construction
• Permanent signal system at McKinley Street
• Construction proposed for 2027 - 2029

Wetland 114 P staff updates

• Staff continue to monitor water levels and will provide updates as needed.
