Title:
Review 2025 Body Worn Camera Audit
Purpose/Background:
The Ramsey Police Department utilizes body-worn cameras (BWC) as part of its daily duties. Because of this, we are required to have an audit conducted on our use under MN Statutes 13.825 and 626.8473. Ramsey PD had this audit conducted on January 7, 2025 by Lynn Lembcke Consulting. The timeframe audited was from January 1, 2023 through January 15, 2025. The report is attached for your review. In addition to submitting the findings to the City Council for review, we are required to provide this report to the Legislative Commission on Data Practices and Personal Data Privacy Commission, House Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, House Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee, and Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee. This information will be sent to these committees by April 11, 2025.
