Title:
Adopt Resolution #12-03-XXX of Support for Local Implementation Capacity (LIC) Grant
Background:
Staff has learned of another pre-development grant opportunity administered through the Metropolitan Council. Staff is proposing a proposal in the amount of $79,500 for public input and design of Municipal Plaza (Village Square Commons) across from the Municipal Center (current location for Happy Days). A letter of support is required from the City, due March 14th. Staff has preliminarily submitted the grant, subject to the approval of the City Council due to timing. Background on the program is included for your review.

- Preliminary Survey Work = $4,500
- Concept Design = $15,000
- Community Design Process
- Design Development = $25,000
- Based on scoping process
- Prepare for construction ready documents
- Construction Documents = $35,000

Recommendation:
Staff recommends adopting the resolution of support for the Local Implementation Capacity Grant.
Funding Source:
Preparation of the grant is being handled as part of regular staff duties.
