Agenda Item - Authorize Request for Proposals for Banking Services
Background:
Staff presented a draft copy of an RFP for banking services. The city has been with Village Bank for the city's banking needs since November 2005 and would like to take this opportunity to see what is available in banking services in relationship to service charges, interest, Positive Pay, credit card processing, etc.
A January 2013 start date is proposed.

Recommendation:
Recommendation to submit RFP for banking services to the four banks located within the city of Ramsey: Bank of the West, Landmark, US Bank and Village Bank.
Council Action:
Motion to confirm the recommendation of the Finance Committee to submit an RFP for banking services to Bank of the West, Landmark Bank, US Bank and Village Bank with the understanding that banking services would begin January 1, 2013 if there is a change from the current bank vendor (Village Bank).
