Attorney-client Privileged Discussion of Threatened Litigation - Closed to the Public
Background:
Amended Background Language: This is a closed meeting held for an attorney-client privileged discussion of threatened litigation against the City. The statutory basis for closing this meeting is Minnesota Statutes, section 13D.05, subd. 3(b). An attorney representing an individual, C.K., has threatened to bring suit against the City for alleged tortious conduct by city personnel. The purpose for closing the meeting is to discuss strategy for responding to this threat of a lawsuit.
