Title:
North Common’s Tree Grant Planting – October 18th, 2012
Background:
Earlier this year the City received a MN DNR grant for tree planting in North Commons. The attached narrative describes the purpose and rationale, and the application for this project 'Majesty of the Commons' provides cost detail.
The project planting will occur on October 18th (with a rain-out of the 19th). Staff is inviting volunteers to participate, and thus a part of the purpose of this case is to communicate this opportunity to the public.

The project will generate $13,000 in state funds to be invested in Ramsey park's - the in-kind contribution of labor is provided for by the General Fund budget.
