Title
Adopt Resolution #13-09-172 to End Firefighters' Probation
Background:
On September 25, 2012 the City Council authorized hiring the following new firefighters: Alex Merritt, Mike Nelson, Adam Schrag, and Scott Widstrom. As per the City's policy, every new firefighter is subject to a 1-year probationary period. All five firefighters have successfully completed their probationary period.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends removing Alex Merritt, Mike Nelson, Adam Schrag, and Scott Widstrom from probation and retaining them as paid-on-call firefighters.
Funding Source:
There is no funding required for this action.
Action:
Motion to adopt resolution #13-09-172 to remove Alex Merritt, Mike Nelson, Adam Schrag, and Scott Widstrom from probation and retain them as paid-on-call firefighters.
