Title:
Resolution to End a Patrol Officer's Probation
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to remove Ms. Shannon Schlender from probation and to retain her as a regular full-time Patrol Officer effective on November 27, 2013.
Ms. Shannon Schlender was hired for the position of Patrol Officer on November 27, 2012, and was subject to a one-year probationary period. Ms. Schlender has successfully completed the required probationary period and Staff recommends retaining Ms. Schlender as a full-time regular employee.

Notification:
This case will be presented on tonight's regular agenda as part of the Report from the Personnel Committee.
Observations/Alternatives:
Options/Alternative: Staff recommends ending Ms. Schlender's probation and retaining her as a regular full-time Patrol Officer. Staff does not recommend any other action.
Funding Source:
There are no additional funds required to remove Ms. Schlender from probation.
Recommendation:
Make a motion, which upon City Council approval, will remove Ms. Shannon Schlender from probation and retain her as one of the City's full-time regular Patrol Officers.
Action:
Motion to approve resolution #2013-11-188, which confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to remove Ms. Shannon Schlender from probation and retain her as one of the City's full-time regular Patrol Officers.
