Food Vendors

Last year we had a total of four food vendors for the Happy Days Festival:  Acapulco Restaurante Mexicano, Well's Catering, Domino's Pizza, and the Ramsey Lions's Club.  The carnival also had a food stand providing the traditional carnival foods.  The Happy Days members that were present stated they were very happy with the food stand from last year and suggested asking the same vendors to come back again this year.

 

Rick Chubb stated that he spoke to the owner of Domino's Pizza and reminded him about the donation they still owe the city.  As of the February meeting, we are still waiting for a check.

 

Rachel from Acapulco dropped off a check for their donation and stated they would be willing to have a food stand on Friday night, as well as all day Saturday.

 

Councilmember Elvig suggested that we go out for RFP's for food vendors and also require food vendors to provide a deposit.  Additionally, he suggested that all food vendors provide a portion size for every item sold.

 

Councilmember Elvig stated that he would be willing to help with this process.

Committee needs to decide whether or not to do an RFP process for food vendors.  If not, they need to decide which vendors to invite back for this years festival.
