Title:
Approve Council Meeting Schedule for December
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To cancel or reschedule meetings due to the holidays and formally amend the meeting schedule.
Background: Council typically cancels the second Council meeting in December due to the holidays. The second meeting this year would fall on December 24, 2013. Council usually cancels Public Works as well; however, it had been previously decided that the Public Works Committee would meet on Tuesday, December 3. There will be no Public Works Committee meeting on Tuesday, December 17.

Notification:
Upon Council action, the meeting schedule and the web page calendar will be amended to reflect the meetings for December.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends canceling the City Council meeting of December 24, 2013.
Action:
Motion to cancel the Public Works Committee meeting of December 17, and the Council meeting of December 24, 2013 and to direct staff to amend the meeting schedules accordingly.
