Information
Title:
Discuss Pricing Strategy for Inventory of City-owned Land to be Listed by CBRE (PORTIONS MAY BE CLOSED TO PUBLIC)
Purpose/Background:
Purpose of Case:
Discuss and provide direction to CBRE regarding pricing strategy of City-owned Land available for sale.
Background:
The City Council approved a 3-year contract with CBRE on January 28 to provide real estate broker services. The desired outcome of the CBRE contract is the sale of surplus City-owned land available for development by the private sector.
In an effort to prepare and complete real estate property listings, CBRE would like to get direction from the City Council related to pricing strategy. At workession, CBRE representatives will be presenting all draft listings; which, will include proposed asking prices. Additionally, CBRE will be discussing a 'pricing strategy table.' Said table is a matrix of several different criteria that will help guide CBRE, Staff and the Council as appropriate listing prices are evaluated.
Closed Session
Staff will be recommending this case be moved into closed session to review and discuss pricing strategy. Moving to closed session is allowed per Minnesota Statute Section 13D.05 Subdivision 3.
Anoka County Parcel Identification (PID) numbers, for each specific parcel to be discussed, are outlined below. NOTE: each list number below represents a single property listing--which can include multiple parcels.
