Title
Approve Request for Seeking Proposals for Mowing Abatement Services
Purpose/Background:
The City of Ramsey currently has a contract for mowing abatement services with Complete Grounds Maintenance Inc. that will expire on April 13, 2014. Staff is asking for authorization to seek contract proposals for the City of Ramsey mowing abatement services for a two year period. A notice will be published in the Anoka County Union once a week for two weeks beginning March 7, 2014. The deadline for proposals will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. Staff has a list of mowing contractors that previously submitted proposals. These companies will be emailed request for proposals during the release date. It is the intent of staff to use the RFP that was used in 2012, with some minor changes. The RFP is attached.
Funding Source:
Administration - posting of a public notice in the Anoka County Union.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends authorization to advertise RFP for mowing abatement services.
Action:
Motion by City Council to authorize staff to formally advertise for “Request for Proposal” for mowing abatement services with the intended purpose to secure a contract with a vendor for two (2) years.
