Title:
Notice of Property Acquisition by Anoka County re Armstrong Boulevard
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To relay information from Anoka County to the HRA regarding notice of property acquisition with regard to the Armstrong Boulevard/Highway 10 Project.
Background: As the HRA is aware, to improve public safety and reduce traffic congestion on US Highway 10, a grade separated interchange at CSAH 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) and Th 10 is scheduled for construction. The project will include reconstructing Armstrong Boulevard from a two-lane to an urban four-lane roadway from Riverdale Drive to Sunwood Drive, and realigning Riverdale Drive.
In some cases, additional right-of-way or easements will have to be acquired by direct purchase and/or eminent domain. Because property belonging to the HRA lies within the project boundaries. Anoka County will need to acquire a part of it. The letter from Anoka County (attached) states that in the near future, the City will be contacted by an Anoka County Right--of-Way Agent to obtain information concerning the property.
Also attached with the letter from Anoka County is a brief outline of the acquisition process. A similar letter, and attachment, was sent to all property owners within the project boundaries..
